Restorative Sound Bath

inspired by yogic rest and the inward turning of pratyahara,
this gong-led sound immersion invites you into a felt state of deep relaxation, allowing the body to soften while gently becoming aware of awareness itself.
the practice moves through the liminal space between wakefulness and sleep — where effort fades, yet attention remains.
the experience unfolds in two parts.
we begin with guided meditation, including intention setting (sankalpa) and a gentle rotation of consciousness, preparing the ground for the second half: an expansive gong immersion designed to support stillness, release, and inward listening.
traditionally, this state of relaxation allows us to remain aware while the body rests, disengage from habitual identification, and experience consciousness without content.
what remains when doing stops, yet awareness stays?
the evening will close with an optional tea circle — a quiet space to sit, share, reflect, or simply be in gentle community before returning outward.
